France got one, Japan has from Kanto to Sinnoh, and the US got two (New York and Hawaii)

Honestly, I'd really want Mexico to get one. We have a lot of geological diversity, we have lots of animals, and the aztec deities would make great leyendaries.

Also, yknow how every game has an evil team? Well how bout you make the cartel this region's evil team?

Team Dandelion because dandelions are weeds.

I've heard compelling arguments for Australia. I feel it's a diverse enough place to base an interesting region, as well as having a fairly good spread of wildlife Pokemon has yet to re-imagine.

Not England, it's a shithole here ;)

I'd like to see China get one, I think they could come up with some pretty creative pokemon.

They'd just have loads of knockoffs of existing Pokémon :rofl2:

Like this amazing pile of definitely not dogshit

Germany, Sweden/Norway, Africa, and somewhat more personal, Central America, the Latino countries (NOT Mexico), and Italy. Scotland, Iceland, New Zealand, Australia, those are based off the works of Ridley Scott, Christopher Noland, and Peter Jackson, how they captured vast landscapes that gave me the impression of a different world.

Maybe Canada? They could have the region based on the top parts of Canada which is basically Antarctica (in terms of environment) iirc.

Although I would kill for a Pokemon Global game where it's like 5 new Pokemon games in one with different regions.

Pokemon in Ancient Rome, Ancient Egypt and even Viking Age.
These sound the most interesting suggestions in this thread, I'd love to see a Pokemon game take place in the "past" as opposed to the more "futuristic" type style all the other games have, just for a change of setting. Would be neat to see more of the "ancient" civilizations the games and such mention all the time but never bother going into detail about.

before i knew about Pokemon uranium I wanted to make my own Pokemon uranium the region would consist of a Russia/Ukraine combo called Solviun the legendary would be of course in a Nuclear Plant but instead of a nuclear typing my idea was an electric/poison type the evil team Team Atomic s headed by a guy named Duke (lol hail to the king baby) their goal is to use the Legendary pokemon to irradiate the Solviun region mutating Strong Pokemon into even stronger variants and kill off weak ones (poor Caterpie) not caring what happens to humans in the process after the Pokemon mutate they'll capture them and conquer other regions

Its weird to me how greatly the size of a region inspiring a Pokemon game can be. For generations 1-5, the regions were based on real life cities, first 4 from Japan, 5th from America. But later we get a region based on an entire state in generation 7, and the game before was a region based on an entire country. I was jokingly going to say, what's next, a region based on an entire continent, but then I realized that a Pokemon game with a region based on Australia wouldn't be surprising to imagine at all.

When I first started writing this post I said China. It's a huge place with a diverse climate, both classical and modern architecture and rich history. Some places like Guilin are reputed for being very beautiful. But being such a huge place there's a lot that would have to be left out or the game would take a decade to develop.

A Pokemon region based on Hong Kong would be better because the city could be covered a lot more thoroughly.
