Hacking What is there to know about PS3 CFW?

I'm planning to buy a phat PS3, upgrade the HDD and install some form of CFW on it. Here is the info I have gathered -
- All PS3 models are CFW moddable, as long as they are on or below 3.55
- All phat PS3s can be downgraded, only some slims can
- Downgrading is only possible through hardware modification
Is there anything else I need to know?

Well, a lot of that info you will find from reading around, but you are correct.

NOR models are much easier to do (soldering) if you don't have a clip, than NAND models
