EDIT: all similar threads have been merged into one

I have inspected the logs and determined that these are simple proxies. I will be banning the IPs of these proxies from now on.
I've searched this forum to look for all reports of illegal proxies and banned all the proxies I could find.

please report here if you see any new illegal proxy
Will a banned proxy still be visitable, and have anything, or would there be a very obvious way to tell if it’s been banned?

it's supposed not to load properly yeah... either a blank page or an error page, or a redirection to somewhere else

if you see a proxy thats currently working, post it here so I can ban it

Thank you! I have a whole list, that I actually sent to OP a while ago during a discussion, I’ll dig it up.

Alright, got it.
http://taraftartekstil.com/
(wtf is this name?)
So, everything else on the list returns an error, so I assume it’s been banned (good job @Costello).
Might I ask what http://ftp.gbatemp.net is? And why it lacks an SSL cert? Or why it’s http:// and not ftp://? And why it even exists at all?
ok I took care of that one too.
we dont have any subdomains on the site so if you try accessing the site with anything.gbatemp.net i dont know what may happen... a redirection maybe

Odd, because now ftp.gbatemp.net redirects to gbatemp.net. Trying other sub domains just gives an invalid domain error.

it's a lost race to be honest ... new ones can pop up at any time
there's not much we can do against those, but hope for Google to ban them.

Just always check your address bar whenever logging into "The Temp" to make sure you're on the real site. The clones are just a phishing scam, I'm sure....

Look at that - they even go the extra mile and replace all occurences of "gbatemp.net" with "gbatemp.gukovo.org":

On another note, our user accounts don't seem to work there. I entered my username with a wrong password and got the sign up form.
This kind of reminds of those "hold two mirrors against each other tunnel effect"

Kinda odd find.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
