MPC Home cinema with CCCP

KMPLayer is pretty good too, but has problems with some sub streams.

PowerDVD for DVD rips (not encodes).

Windows Media Player or Windows Media Center on Windows. I'm too lazy to install anything else.

VLC Media Player for Linux. Ironically, I wasn't lazy and did get something that works for my Linux installation.
There's VLC for Linux?

I didn't know that, now I must install it ASAP!

If you just type in VLC in Ubuntu Software Center (assuming you use Ubuntu 9.04 or later), it should come up.

I know a lot of people don't like it. Even if it was it's real name, I would use it, because it's the one I find useful for what I need to do

I don't care the other people opinion, I make mine. (but, I'm sure everybody would accept, as long as I don't find Real player useful

Hahaha, yes real player does suck.

I always knew BS as Bullshit player, however, I will admit it can be good for some subtitles which VLC may struggle with. Though this is a very rare occurrence.

I use VLC, I USED to like Realplayer ............. Until they forced me to update and make me pay £40 for features which I USED to have. Really pissed me. VLC is really good for some 7GB movies I, ahem, acquired.

I don't like VLC (or the new releases at least), as they include a resident program, sort of spyware from Apple (bonjour.exe) allowing, well, from what they says, an easier network share.
it tries to connect to remote servers, and can't be uninstalled the usual way from the install/remove program panel.
Apple making windows spyware now, and bad ones
hate2.gif

Also present in latest adobe products.

Edit :
Oh, and Officially, bonjour.exe allow the user to "print with apple colours". what ? I thought a printer printed the colour we told it to.

Edit 2 :
I don't like VLC interface too. and it doesn't remember the monitor it has to open to.
BSplayer remember it must play the video in my 2nd monitor. I don't have to move/resize every time.
