What is your favourite scientific term?

Mine is the Cox-Zucker machine. An algorithim created by David Cox and Steven Zucker who decided to work together on a project purely so they could combine their names in this way.

I'm also a big fan of Proton Enhanced Nuclear Induction Spectroscopy, or PENIS if you prefer.

What's your favourite? Do you like a good ACHOO? Maybe you're more of a CuNT lover?

The PHALLOBLASTER.

What does a phalloblaster do, you might ask?

It blasts the phallus.

Certain proteins in the human body have interesting names, there's a "Sonic hedgehog protein" (used in the "hedgehog signalling pathway", not kidding) and "Pikachurin" among others.
There is also one called Smaug that destroys maternal mRNA inside of a fertilized egg

You gringos love your acronyms so much. I work for a enterprise from "U.S.A." ( really india but the HQ is on NY for the stock market) and all documents have so many acronyms what you take the triple of time reading because you need to lookup what means every other.

And speaking is worse because you have to stop so often to explan them what you loose the rythm.

But yes SCM😝
