if you boyos are so desperate to play it early and dont mind downloading a shady copy, why not download the original versions and play them in dolphin and project 64? you can mod those versions with new textures and map joycons to the controls using betterjoyforcemu and then you will have a better version, with galaxy 2

Dolphin isn't running great on Switch as far as I know

Sunshine apparently runs at PAL 60fps even though all the trailers had it running at 30. It's done by a patch and is not present in the .gcm

fwiw, I have emunand 10.1.0 running with both sxos 3.0.4 and atmosphere 0.14.0. I have the games working but the method is odd. Maybe it makes sense to someone. maybe I just got lucky:

1. sxos 3.04. installed using sxos installer. Game loaded to title screen but could not launch the games/emulators, got error to try from home screen.. and then could not even restart the game. Deleted game using built in data manager.
2. rebooted to atmosphere 0.14.0. installed nsp using goldleaf, tried to launch game but got the error about not being able to start and try from home screen. left game installed..
3. rebooted to sxos - launched and works fine (so far). Tried each game briefly, got first start in each.

I have game pre-ordered but apart from galaxy, I'm underwhelmed by the sm64 and sunshine. Was hoping for added polish.

p.s. I do get odd problems like this with my config where a game works in atmosphere but not sxos and vice versa. never had issue where I installed in one and it worked in the other though.

Sunshine's performance is achieved by using a bunch of very very game specific hacks.

I think @Jayro said that it worked as xci but it would crash as nsp. use nsc builder to convert it back to xci. it will only take about thirty seconds instead of downloading an xci version of the game.

Since this is emulated is it possible to switch out the n64 ROM/Files to the unpatched BLJ version of the ROM? It would be so nice to hear "So long gay Bowser!" again.

The XCI is working perfectly fine with SX OS 3.0.4 and 10.1.0 emunand. No crashes

not sure, but an xci is on the dark website. it might be the original, but it was uploaded second which leads me to believe that it's just converted back.

What's to say we can't lower the resolution to 480pish and try to find our own game specific patches? It may not be ideal or will work for every game but tossing the idea out of the window that quick makes no sense. Not to mention in another thread someone got Luigi's Mansion working at full speed without any changes
