Hardware Homebrew Misc Where do I put a microsd card?

I'm trying to add mods to my 3ds, its quite old but I believe I can still do something with it. Only that I can't find the area where you add the microSd slot. Am I wrong and this specfic 3ds cannot be modded? I have a micro sd card, and an adapter but do I need a bigger sd card for it?

Regular sd card and the red flap at the top of your pic

the area at the top looks like the normal sd card reader. it's at the side of an o3ds. you do need an adapter though.
