Where should i start with the Worms series?

Why not just make a decision on your own? I mean, it's kind of like asking where to start with Tetris. It's freaking Worms. They're all basically the same and it's not like there's some big story plots you're going to miss out on depending on where you start. Just watch some videos and play the one that looks like the most fun to you,
I loved playing Worms Armageddon online many years ago on PC, but is it still active these days? I dunno. It was fun and challenging to play.
Playing Worms with a controller or even worse, touchscreen controls just makes the game unplayable for me.

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.
The issue is DRM -

You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
