Wii classic controller pro randomly disconnects

I have a genuine Wii classic controller pro and wiimote but have a problem with the controller randomly losing connection. I can usually play a game on retroarch or another emulator, but then all of a sudden the controller becomes unresponsive and I have to pull it out from the wiimote and reconnect it to get it working again. This is random, but usually can't go more than 40 minutes at the most without this problem. Does anyone know what the problem is? It's not the batteries in the wiimote and it's not interference as the wiimote and controller are close to the wii

try a total resynchronization of your wiimote with your wii.

I think some games just use the wiimote ==> (to be confirmed)

other games can use the wiimote with the Wii Classic Controller Pro

what game(s) is(are) it(s)?
