Hi

Recently purchased a Wii

I just want to verify the following behaviour is normal.

When returning to the Wii Menu from within a Channel-Wii Settings/Internet - The Wii soft-resets itself.
Shows the Wii logo that also appears just after the health & safety warning where you have to press A during a startup.
Normal?

If connected to WiiConnect24 - is it normal for the top of the Wii to be a little warm?
My Wii is positioned flat - well ventilated.

Do the screens showing to put on a the Wii-strap and avoid things around you ect. occur with EVERY game?

or just Nintendo's?

That's it for now

TIA

Yes, all those things are normal.

They probably have to put the strap screen there every time to avoid people threatening legal action every time they break something with the wii remote.
It is stupid, but they're just watching they're backs like everyone does.

The thing is that there's already a warning screen when you turn on the Wii >_<
They could have used the same screen for all the warnings, now there's a new screen for the Wii Zapper's compatible games and I'm sure there's one for Wii Fit.

Not that it's that important but I do find the Wii startup boring

Remember the Cube? or PS1/2 - I guess presentation meant something then.

But I'm being pedantic

Normal?

When I return to the menu, the wii logos show up, but then it goes to the main menu. I only have to view the saftey screen once at startup.

Wish they would let us play the NCAA football 14 on newer xbox, its one of the only games I love and own on disc still, that is not back compatible, bs.

@BigOnYa My dad recently bought a spare Series X off of me, got game pass, and saw Madden '24 on Game Pass, decided to try it out.

...He was a bit taken aback by the 60GB download size. Poor guy's still living in the 90s!

@K3Nv2 He was looking into consoles for his house anyway (for my younger siblings and himself) and I had a spare XSX and Switch I ended up selling him at pretty steep cuts. I would just give them to him, but I did buy them with the intent to sell them... and college is super expensive.
