hey all,

i've seen some discussion on the topics, but didn't really see any info, so i figured to ask: is there a known list of games for wii and gamecube that would benefit from adding the wii u overclock via c2w?

AFAIK it's for emulators only but I could be wrong.

So gamecube games on nintendont maybe. Someone said they run at a different speed on Wii than they do on GC. But other than that I don't think it will help Wii or GC.

@Jayinem Well, the overclock actutally is for vWii (overclocking vWii to Wii U speed). Wii U and vWii run on the exact same CPU just with different clock speeds, so "completely different" isn't true.
Also there are more Wii homebrews than just Wii64 which benefit from it.

@grandosegood AFAIK no properitary Wii software supports this. I heared at one point Nintendont does for GCN but I failed when trying, so I don't think this is true (also technically GCN games are overclocked from GCN to Wii speed already).

I edited my post because I remembered and you replied from before the edit. Been years since I messed with vWii.

What I said was Wii runs Gamecube games at a different speed than Gamecube did, not Wii U and Wii.

There would be no benefit for Wii games I'm sure though, vWii already runs Wii games as well as Wii did.
