Does it offer anything WIT doesn't? It's old, so I don't expect it to.

I'm just clarifying - seems to be very similar to the extraction abilities of WIT / Wiiscrubber. Anonymous told me it might help, it seems like he was wrong.

it mounts the disk to the normal filesystem
that way you can open the files on the disk with any program
without needing to extract it

similar in effect to mounting a *.iso with eg deamon tools
