For the next few releases I will post questions and answers from a very short interview with the Yellow Wood Goblin. The questions are simple, sometimes have 2-3 word answers, focus on the firmware itself, but also aim to provide a tiny bit of insight while asking what the Goblin’s favorite games/homebrews are.

Q: What is your favorite emulator for Flash Kits, and why?
A: nesDS, because I like NES music.

I assume it means being able to make a calender skin where the start of the week is monday, not sunday.

wood r4 is for the r4 flash kit.
wood r4i dsn is for the r4i dsn flash kits.
wood rpg is for the acekard rpg flash kit.

they are all the same firmware with the same updates but run on specific flash kits for which they are coded for.

Does this Wood firmware enable the M3 simply to Run on 3ds ?

If Not, is there any Flashcard capable of doing this. ?

Stupid question:

this is an "operating system" (a/k/a firmware or kernel) for a few specific flash kits. this is not a flash kit bootloader upgrade. i can understand how this might be confusing, especially considering that the kernels are often called firmwares, but a quick search would have answerd the question for you.

There's no way to make the M3 Simply run on the DS, you'll want a new one.

My favorite thing about this firmware is how you can update it online without ever having to take the SD out of the R4. That is especially nice because my original old R4 has the busted spring and I have to tape the SD in place. I wish ALL flashcarts let you update the firmware online like that.
