Hi guys. I am getting an XBox One X for Christmas and have a few questions about it:

- I do not have a 4K TV. Will I still get much benefit from the System?
- I still have a 1st Gen XBox One and have a 2TB external USB HDD attached that has some of my games on it. Will I need to re-format external HDD for use with my XBox One X?

Thoughts and help greatly appreciated :)

1. Yes, it's more powerful aka faster. Same goes to PS4 Pro vs PS4 Slim. But One S is about half the price, so you should take that into consideration too.
2. I don't own an old Xbox so no idea. But if the game was encrypted and signed with account/device info, I doubt you can simply use those games on a new Xbox.

I would seriously reconsider getting a One X if you don’t have a 4K Tv considering the One S is 300 less. Is the extra little detail worth the $300? If so go for it then
You’ll only get minor improvements in resolution and increase FPS if the devs bother with it
There’s no reason you’d need to format your HDD considering they are both Xbox’s so just try and if not then you can always format it
