Ultimately the worst part is, the fact that they got everyone so hyped up and it just kinda fizzled. A lot like the Digimon game translation/patch it's a shame but hopefully with some attention someone will pick it up where it was left off..... if the team is willing to release their stuff up to this point.
Just thought i'd drop by and let you know I picked up where [d]ark[d]ream left off
I haven't got much done right now, just thought i'd bump to see if anyone else is working on it.
Also, Fun Fact: I can't make names/words longer than they are in japanese, so i've had to shorten some stuff
words like anime and game were made Ani and Gam, Atory/Atrey/Athle has become Atry, Arsu/Arth/Earth has become Art(better sounding than Arf/Erf/Ars/Ass), ETC
I'm going mostly from the japanese names cause they seem so much easier to simplify
I'd love some feed back on the name changes
If anyone has a guide to editing the pics that'd be great, cause I can do those if i know how to edit the ingame images.
If you do know some stuff about it, please try it yourself first. Followed tutorials here and none of them help remotely with this game, probably cause it's japanese or something, I'm not sure.
What will I be doing?
All the menu items that can be done and names and stat windows and stuff. Anything that isn't a pic or story.
How long will this take?
Too long.
When/where do you post updates?
Here, in this thread, I'll edit my post if thread's dead to avoid double posting, and ill bump if someone posts after me to help those coming to this thread to download only the patch, that way they don't have to sort through an entire thread
I post updates at the end of anyday I work on it

I would like to see more updates on this. I am still very beginner at Japanese, I studied some back on it back about 10 years ago. I have a friend, however, who knows more Japanese, and I was looking at starting this project where the last person left off. If you have any key points for where to start, please let me know? I'm only familiar with modding Wii and some older system games, but would be willing to learn, to help!
Since this is being revived I have a question. Does anyone know why when I give the main character his Trinity liger to pilot, one of his stats is highlighted in red and the value is 1? I could never figure out why that was. Haven't played this in years. Just found my cart and was reminded of that issue.

un lz all graphic related files. so any with nscr narc ncgr or nclr in the name need to be decompressed renamed so they do not have the .lz ending and the proper nclr nscr narc ncgr names. repack that into a rom and then slowly go through with tinke or just unpack in tinke (I have had trouble with this too much memory being used). when done editing use tinke to import and repack. WARNING parts of graphics are reused in other graphics. so you would have the beginning of x zoid name and the middle of x and the end of x to make up the one name because those names share the same name parts. or the end of that name would also be used in a menu part not just a zoid name. One of the reasons why I didn't pursue this too much as tracking what got used for what was too time consuming. Even then there is very little space for english as the japanese was already quite tight. May need to edit the entire graphic menu just to make things fit. even then you need x ususally 10+ space for english you have 3 bytes.
implementing ncer may be needed for moving graphic part in the menus... sure it would be distracting but instead of short forming at least it would be in there.
Someone please revive this project; I have been hoping that this would be translated for years and year, Zoids Legacy was my favorite portable game. Let's get this going again, this game is worth it.
Google translate is bad enough with latin languages, with languages such as Japanese, Korean and Mandarin for example, it's way worse. It can translate words, but words can have different meanings in different circumstances.
