just call him an idiot and don't give stuff you disagree too much credence, the act of shunning mis-informed people and not challenging them doesn't help change their opinion it just serves to foster more hatred and probably makes them think its true more as people "can't" refute it. instead your now pushing people who could come around to new ideas towards places where they wont have their opinions challenged, and lead to a even more polarized society which is what we are seeing already

@gamesquest1 - First paragraph: Is it really that bad for me to ask to let people show some average human decency when it comes to talking to others? Secondly, ignoring someone doesn't make the problem dissapear. It just makes it so you don't see it. That is the same inherent weakness as blocking someone on Twitter: The person in question won't stop calling you a shithead over it, it just prevents you from seeing it.

Your second argument is the logical fallacy of the gliding hill, where if we ask for some change in how to be a decent human being, it instantly must mean were gonna start living in a police state, meaning I'm going to ignore that bit.

I would prefer the crazies be given a chance to naturally intergrade and accept differences, the push to accept or get out is leading to things such as the alt right gaining supporters.......give people a little a bit of time to accept and change, the side effects of going too hard isn't appealing to me

Anyway the setup there is something of a legacy one from previous devices where it mattered a lot, may still do here but I will sideline that one for now. I agree utilities might need some clarification (it means ROM hacking utilities, something very prevalent during the GBA for pokemon) and emulation risks confusion of emulation of the device or emulators written for the device. The DS ROM hacking section was originally also tagged for homebrew but it got cluttered with homebrew which helped neither "group", and there is not the most overlap either (ask me about the hardware or reverse engineering a format and we are good, ask me about the functions of even something as common as libnds and... I guess I can read it but any real question the OP could probably answer better).

The time zone thing is interesting, especially having watched all sorts of shifts over the years (I once saw the same argument made for Europe as at the time NA and Australasia were highly represented). Rarely is it that things are on fire though so I will go with that.

3ds section is what it is from where I sit because it has no games, free hacks/emulation, said hacks barely trouble online functionality and no particular homebrew potential (in terms of raw grunt if the GBA and DS can do fine things then you certainly can here, however why you would when you have far better choices in android and co I do not know). As far as morons being allowed to run free (or at least what appears free to them) and world news I am going with "enjoy your echo chamber". Hopefully it has decent air filtration such that you don't up sniffing your own farts.

No one is saying that undesired people should be suspended immediately, but they should be given a concrete warning. If it really takes 10 warns to be banned, 1 is nothing.

Also, being on the internet doesn't give you the right to be a dick to people. If you really want to expose an opinion that can be considered toxic the LEAST you can do is be respectful about it and post it where people care. Do you think that gay marriages should be banned? Post it, respectfully, to the right thread, or make one. Just because you've seen a blog post about someone coming out as gay doesn't give you the right to expose your toxicity where others don't want it to be. It's like going to one of those festivals of meat and bitching because you're vegan.

i just thought it was rather a waste of time for all parties.... i will admit i was rather angry in my response
