Celebrating 15 Years of GBAtemp!

So this year marks the 15th anniversary of GBAtemp - August 22nd specifically! It's incredible to think GBAtemp has been around for 15 years and it's endearing to see it's still a bustling forum of activity. Although we've had a lot of ups and downs (including myself personally) GBAtemp is still very important to me and a lot of other people and I just wanted to thank whoever reads this for visiting GBAtemp and hope you'll celebrate our 15 years together with me, our other staff & our members.

We have some big changes planned for this year so keep your eyes peeled for updates but for now here's a fun little look at a never before seen design mockup for GBAtemp v3 back in the old "Web 2.0" days!

Forever one of my favorite websites. The only one I visit with any consistency for as long as I have other than AllMusic. Glad it's still here and you're still helping make it happen! Keep up the good work!

Its funny thinking this 33 year old english guy started this whole thing out only aged 17 in the same year I was born.

Solace, Shaun didn't make temp.
It was 3 Italian friends who had several hosts before deciding to ditch the GBA ROMs and keep the guestbook/forum part.

Kevan, Omerto and Alexander (think I spelled their names correctly)
You can look up the entire history of temp on the GBAtemp wikipedia!

Omerto -> Omero
Kevan -> Kivan

It's been 15 years, and I wish to stay here a lot more :)
this is the only place I visit and feel at home, I'd be sad if it closed.
I'm happy to have met a lot of people from all around the world this way.

I was sad when the forum got hacked and we lost TPB, it became very "2.0" with many features and user interaction, online gaming, etc.
the switch was hard, but we are still here and got used to the new place.
The users make this place, not its look.

I remember bumping into this site while at school, I was looking for a place to download gba roms way back then barely knowing anything about the internet. I forgot about the site until I "re-stumbled" upon it in 2010 looking for tutorials on how to mod my wii.
It's unbelievable just how much the site changed (for better or for worse :ha:).
