Walmart broke Nintendo's street date, and sold me Kirby Star Allies today, so here's a peek inside at the inner cover and the cart [NO SPOILERS]:

Hah, jokes on you, I have the game too!.... I can't boot it up untill Friday....

@DRAGONBALLVINTAGE I don't have a Switch, but if it's anything like the 3DS, it has a "Currently Playing" thing when you're online. If Nintendo sees that the game is being played early, they might decide to ban him from playing online. They've done it with 3DS games before. One of the sets of Pokemon games got leaked early and released on a ROM site, and they started banning people with the mindset that they must have downloaded a digital copy that was leaked, so they should get banned for piracy.

French companies in the country used to break dates all the time. I remember I bought Pokémon Gold at Carrefour one day earlier. Fnac stores also did this. Sounds great but isn't. Other national stores that respected the dates end up losing tons of money, every big launch. They also for some reason had plenty of stock when others didn't.

I'm just waiting for Friday like everybody else. Because in Sweden we got a general importer that probably ships the games today. So they will first have them tomorrow or on friday.

@pustal then it means they won the sales game, I mean, they got the money instead of their competitors, it is great but... it is great, the customer is happy, the french chain pockets are full, they did good business.

Yes, I bought it early, but I'm not gonna risk a ban by playing it early.

I used to love Kirby games. Been a long time, glad to see he’s still around and viable.
