I'm moving to Singapore, confirmed

Comments

I knew some people that lived out there in the 80s and 90s and loved it. I dare say that article was not written for people previously living in China and sounds more like how you would sell it to someone in Europe but stuff it mentions sounds like a blast.

Blogs so song

good luck eating rats, cats and dogs everyday and waking up to the smell of human shit and scuffling of cockroaches and other critters.

no offense to those from that era, just truth. but france is the same way so you'll feel right at home minus the cats and dogs.

There's a small chance that I'll be there in July. PM me if you feel like meeting up.

As a former long term resident and someone who routinely travels to the island nation, I've to say that article barely scratch the surface of what life is like there. The grass always looks greener on the other side. :P

@gameboy do you even know anything about Singapore? The streets are so clean you could eat off them - the government punishes littering incredibly harshly, with large fines.

Never been there as I usually go to Japan when I am in Asia but this is definietly on my list to go (last year I was choosing between Singapore and Taiwan and sadly I choose Taiwan)
Hope you have some fun and maybe you can write some nice reports about your experience there.

Guess the only thing which would suck in my opinion might be that this "Country" is very small so you can probably see everything rather fast ...

A mate of mine went there last year, said it was wonderful, but cost an average of £23 for a pint?! Good luck out there Costello ....I'll stick to gazing at the admittedly pretty pictures instead though!!

i love singapore, but as a holiday target. the food is so great. my cousin lived there for about 4 years and said she wouldn't want to live permanently there.
it's a very elbow-y society compared to germany.

Check out RetroNutz in Simlim Square!

Nice, I didn't know you were serious about it.
Singapore is apparently one of the richest countries in Asia as well as one of the biggest business hubs, and it shows, what with all the giant skyscrapers. It's certainly not a bad place to work.

@Costello quit pulling my leg thanks for the offer though imo maybe Bortz or Fast someone with more experience.....and someone with better grammar
