Yesterday I decided to go a week with light mode, no bluffing, or going back to dark mode. ples ask questions I need content​

I can see the benefits of light mode when you're out under the Sun or working on something while wanting to stay awake, but other than that? Nah.

I've preferred "light mode" in all of my programs up until about 2 years ago where basically every website has made it necessary to choose from either a cornea-piercing neon-white mode, or a pitch black dark mode. This same design switch happened to gbatemp too, where I used light mode up until the late 2017 redesign, and then I had to switch to dark mode because it was just too bright. The default light modes for everything now as just as white as possible, like even the taskbar is white in Windows light mode unless you manually change it. Why can't it just be like a choice between "regular website/program color mode that has black text" and "dark mode that's gray/blue with white text"

just got Retroarch on light mode as well (Settings -> UI -> Appearance -> Menu Color -> Ice Cold because the text can't be changed from white, and white on white isn't even light mode. It's just not the ability to see anything)
