I just got super lucky and bought a rare Gameboy Micro on eBay!

It's not super rare, but rare enough I guess. It's the light blue Micro, which is a Japanese color. I also scored 4 authentic carts of the mario games with it, and the charger, all for $237.40 (after tax and free shipping factored in), which is a steal for me. I really didn't need the games, but they're in great condition and will be a great addition to my collection. I think I'll add them to a shadowbox and hang it in my gaming room!

I do too. My shadowbox for the carts just shipped, so I should design a wallpaper to print out behind them.

I've got my GBA(s) IPS modded, but I've wanted another Micro for over a decade now, just never had the extra money until now. :feelsgoodman:

The only thing that still interest me with the micro, is that the backwards compatibility is still there, there were some people that figured out how to get it to reboot in gbc mode, I don't think it got further than poc

Add a 5v passthrough with level shifting, see what happens

Or 3.3v based flash

That is delightfully pointless. All the rotation and filtering, I mean.
"GB Micro: Correct boot ROM animation, with sound. Nintendo logo is white, which means the GBC CPU is reading zeroes from the cart instead of data." Doesn't sound too promising. It might never be able to read GBC carts. But maybe it can read a GBA flashcart in GBC mode...
