my Linux journey has now devolved into this:
(Started at Windows 7 EOL) Lubuntu 19.04 -> Lubuntu 20.04 -> Ubuntu Budgie 20.04 -> KDE neon (18.04) -> KDE neon (20.04) -> Kubuntu 20.04 [record low time with it] -> Debian Buster/Sid -> instantOS beta 5 -> Debian Sid -> Arch Linux -> Debian Sid -> elementaryOS 6 Odin -> Solus 3.4 Budgie

Arch Linux was the runner-up for record low time, and KDE neon is the distro I've used longest, Debian Sid being the runner-up here.

I've been enjoying instantOS ever since you brought my attention to it. Did you simply tire of it or do you just generally like distro hopping?
BTW beta 6 is out.

You're welcome. Anyways, the start menu actually got pretty cluttered thanks to additions from WINE and AppImage (AppImageLauncher is good), and I realized I hate it when my Linux drive has less than 50% storage left (128GB), and it got down to 32GB left, and that's basically why I hopped off of instantOS. paperbenni is a Linux saint.

I was a dedicated Solus user for several years, I even used it during the early beta days when it had just gone independent. I stopped using it because I am unsure about the future of the project since there's been a lot of empty promises. They've made a lot of promises about properly integrating Flatpak and Snap into their software manager, but that's not happened. They made promises to update Budgie but Budgie 11 still hasn't come out. There's a lot of empty promises behind the project and I know the head dev often dips out for months on end, which is why they've lagged so much on their promises.

yeah, that's why I use the super+spacebar menu. Much more enjoyable to use.
You should look into upgrading your storage. It's pretty cheap atm, I was able to get a 500 GB samsung nvme ssd for less than $100.
