Looking to extend my music tastes

Prior to your other thread I honestly did not know Sum41 had continued to make music. I recall reading a review of a festival performance once which said their pain for pleasure (a novelty/piss take hair metal sendup) was probably the best song they did that day and pretty much... summed it up for me.

What I am more here to say is if you go on your chosen video streaming service then all those related videos, and playlists composed of those songs and ones like them. Use those. Far from flawless but will find you something else after a while.

Nah their stuff is still good surprisingly, I prefer their older albums, Underclass Hero being my favourite of them but I like their 2011 album too

Rise Against I've seen around but never took a listen, they seem alright from what I'm hearing so far though.

I was in your situation a few years ago. I'm an OK singer and I wanted to extend my Karaoke repertoire, tired of singing the same old song.
Believe it or not, what did it for me was the discover of Guitar Hero III on the Wii, which led me to collect all of the GH/RB games out there and playing trough all of those multiple times led me to discover lots of artist/styles that were never relevant to me before, but somehow by playing those songs made me appreciate their work.
Maybe trying their recent iteration on the current consoles might do the trick for you ?
