My Chinchilla died today...

He was with me for almost 2 full years, and I'm guessing it was old age. I got him from a friend who couldn't keep him, as she was allergic to him. So she gave me a large cage and toys, food, care instructions, etc... And he's been really cool to have around. His name was Ozzy*, after the rock musician.

Rest in peace, little buddy. <3

Chinchillas are known to get spook easily and become sickly from stress. my wife and I have a chinchilla, and she's had that him for ages. I nicknamed him "codger" because he's nearly as old as me. coincidentally, his actual name is Rodger.

I lost a cat at its first months. They were twins, so only one survived... And I am sad not because the cat died, but the other cat is a complete annoyance...

I'm sorry for your loss.

I know how it feels to lose a pet.
But I don't want to know how it feels to lose a child.
As I see me cats as me kids.

Thanks for the support guys. We'll be cremating his remains on Monday. Heaven help me if one of my cats ever dies... Like @DinohScene said, they're like children to me.

Very sorry for your loss. Poor critter. :( I rescued ferrets for awhile. So heart wrenching when they passed. I am with @DinohScene. My cats are my kids. Can't stand the thought of losing them.

I love them, they are brilliant animals. My rabbit died 2 years this Febuary 2017, as he stopped eating for no reason and lost a lot of weight, so I had to get him put down at the vets, as they tried drugs and nothing worked.

Still gutted he went and I work in a park and see wild rabbits, which always reminds me of him. I just hope there is a place in the afterlife were animals go and you can be reunited again with them, when it's our time to go.

    I'm doing good, just made my first drink of the day, so better now, Captain and Coke today. I had to cut grass all day, then get my hair cut. I messed with my wifey, she knew I was going to get hair cut, and I went and bought a purple dyed wig, and came home wearing it, she freaked out, thinking I dyed my hair purple, was funny.

    Damn, I haven't been on here in while. My wife and I went on a mushroom trip like 10 years ago. A friend had a PS3TV with the glasses and some racing game. It hit when I was playing the game and I freaked out because I thought I was really driving and crashed.
