My modded Gameboy Pocket is almost done...

Placed the order today for a Funnyplaying "Retropixel" IPS screen kit, and that's the last mod I'm doing to this thing and it will be completed. It has a 2000mAh battery crammed inside (that was a bitch to do!), And the charging board (TP4056) was moved into the front housing of the shell. You can see the charging status LEDs through the shell front when it's plugged in. Modded the power jack to be USB type C with a magnetic charging tip, as with all of my builds. Once my IPS screen kit gets here, this will be my daily driver of monochrome Gameboys and I can retire my DMG to the collection.

Nice! Only thing that'd be cooler would be a little USB plug with one of those super small flash drive dongles (yknow, they look like a usb keyboard dongle) with the plug facing outward, so you could plug it into a PC (probably with an extension cable) and use the GB as a Medicat USB device!

I mean, you've already got a custom charging vcable in that thing, so why not add a little hole near the top of the GB for the plug?

I could easily put a USB SSD inside a cartridge shell, to make that happen. The Pocket just has zero extra space within itself for anything else.
Zamn. Maybe for the custom cart, it could also double as an actual cart with the GB being able to control the USB SSD, like which partition it shows to the connected PC (one could be an ubuntu installer, one could be Medicat, another could just be general storage)
