Question about Amazons 1 TB SD card..

I realize this probably isn't the best place to ask this, but I feel it is most likely to get a straight honest (read as less - biased) answer. How many people from here have purchased a 1 Tb micro sd card from Amazon since the prices have dropped below $200 USD. I have been watching them, waiting for them to drop below $400 USD (out frigging-rageous!). I have needed 2 and now feel like the time to strike is now. (Thanks to Moores law..)

I look forward to hearing from those who have purchased from them. I have heard so many horror stories, but have purchased many and had no problems myself, with hc cards 100, 200, 256, 512, micro SDHC cards.

Your experiences are appreciated.

PS I now believe N has major stock in one or many of these SD card companies, so they're making money on both ends those fcekurs! lol

SD cards have always been unreliable but there is a lot of fakes out there on those capacity It will show the good size but it cant contain the files. I guess you just test it upon arrival the test is easy to do just fill the thing up if fake return it.

I have 3 1TB micro sd cards from amazon. all have checked out with h2testw. I have about 130GBs left with 148 games bought on each, and none have failed or showed any sign of issues.

If you think a price is too good to be true it probably is. $200 is about par, for things like this its always best to stick to the big boys like amazon as you have some sort of recourse if things do go belly up
I'm not for an instant saying there aren't fakes on Amazon but they are more likely to be the 1TB for $20 than 1 for $200.

I would love to say more about amazon and fake sd/pen drives/hard drives but I'm still stuck under a mountain of stuff before I can start talking about it freely :)

At 159. USD one could say the price is too good to be true, (since they were just about $400 recently) with the higher ones trending at $200.USD now.
Since I only buy from the largest, (highest rated sellers) it makes it a crapshoot as to which is real and which isn't.
Don't know why I'm so gun shy about buying this time but the more I put out for these ... 'size- to dollar ratio'/ ( drug-like) purchases but I feel more and more like there's something sinister about paying hundreds of dollars for something this tiny...

feel like it should be done in some dark back alley by hooded/cloaked figures.

I bought two Sandisk Extreme so far, one was at $217 and the other was at $280, regardless of size to dollar ratio you still have to test the card via H2testw and F3X, if you want the highest capacity SD card available you pay the price.

Just makes sure it says ships and sold by amazon, not from third party sellers.
They should be legit. The 1TB are still far too expensive, I only recently purchased a 400GB one for around $40.

For example, if you go to the Sandisk Ultra ad (at $159) USD on Amazon right now and look at the graphic comparing that with the Extreme 1 TB and the 512 etc and read the line about the digital capacity the capacity for the San Disk ultra reads 1 Tb and the capacity for the SanDisk Extreme reads 1000Tb (not Gb)!, the 512 reads 512 Gb so on. anyone see what's wrong with this or am I missing something here...
Things like these lead me to be suspicious. I would have posted a pic/link but you know where to go yourself...

Now I am admittedly very sleep deprived so maybe I'm misreading this... so I'm sure if I am someone will be glad to dunk me in the tank at their soonest convenience if I read it wrong.

to be clear, the memory storage capacity line reads right, but the digital storage capacity does not. slip of the key? scam? who knows? I don't gamble that high of odds and I was stationed in Vegas for 4 years.... (Area 51 no less, well just outside the gate)

Something smells funny in the Amazon

is it jsut me or does todays RTX meme of Link rtx on look like 'Carrot top' on shrooms?

last time I checked, there are now two 1TB micro sd cards on Amazon. the difference is the speed, which is why one is like $30-$50 less. I have 129GBs left on each of my 3 1TB micro sd cards, and I still haven't had any issues. I bought all three on sale, but at different times. the lowest I've gotten one for is around $186. there may be a sale Memorial Day Weekend, so you may wait 'til then. there was one on Labor Day last year.
