I - am - baffled. Now, this may well be normal, but I am confused. I am new to Skyrim, bought it when it first hit the switch. I had it on the 360 years ago but was into Oblivion and never really got into it (Skyrim).
I had something happen, regarding horses, I would like to explain, please tell me if this is 'normal'.
I have been signing onto the game for the past year just to collect loot from (6) Amibo and learn the ins and outs of the game before getting too far into it as I have too many games running simultaneously.
Early on while transversing an area with Ice Spiders? (prolly calling it the wrong thing but you know what I'm talking about) in the woods, the first horse I bought was killed. I'm pretty sure I bought it from Katies farm. I MAY be wrong (and this may be important) I may have gotten it from Whiterun Stables, it was a white horse. anyway, it was killed while trying to help me kill some spiders. Several saves (30+ ) I now have another horse I know I purchased from Whiterun stables a black one, who appears and acts more 'hardy' during battle, helping me kill beasts when needed, and doing a fine job.
I was under the belief that the original horse did NOT respawn once killed (assuming it was normal, no spells etc) based on some net searches.
Today, I sign on (first horse long forgotten, assumed a ghost in flesh and reality) and prepping to gather my loot (pre-Amibo) I look into Katie's stable and see the usual white horse... and another one !?!?! I walk up to it and it as well as the horse I just dismounted, has my name on it, indicating, they are both my horses!
IOW my original white horse respawned? I thought that wasn't supposed to happen?
It doesn't end there though, I tried something and left my black horse, mounted the white one to ride away and the black horse starts heading away (apparently toward Whiterun) But when I get back on the black horse, the white one retakes his place in Kates stable. note: my last save was at Katies stable, just FYI.
I repeated trying different horses back and forth, always with the same results.
I am baffled by 3 things.
1) I thought respawns weren't poss.
2) why does the white horse re-stable at Katie's when I'm pretty sure I got it at Whiterun?
3) WHy doesn't the black one take the white horses place (in Katies stable) when I swap, it walks back toward Whiterun) (I am assuming it is heading toward Whiterun, if not then where else?
Please enlighten me if you know.
please keep the guessing to a minimum, it doesn't help here, thanks though.
