the memchunkhax2 hype post with .3dsx

there is more going on in the comments that this post is somewhat outdated now.
read this. it's important.
  • you cannot use this for downgrading, installing .CIAs, etc. yet. it is purely for testing.
  • when you post results, include your model, entry point, and full firmware version (e.g. 10.3.0-28E).
  • this has pretty much no risk of bricking as it doesn't write to the NAND or anything. with that in mind I am not responsible if anything weird happens so run this at your own risk.
  • if you get a test value of DEADCAFE then it has worked.
  • this might help with getting "DEADCAFE":

Interestingly I just tried to launch Smash and I just get a black screen. I'll try updating and downgrade again to somewhere below 9.2 and get Smash to update me

What system update does Fire Emblem Awakening (NTSC-U) have? It's the latest physical game I own. I would be willing to test downgrading and then upgrading through cart.

If upgrading goes well, please inform us. I downgraded just to see if I could do it, now I'm starting to think I'd just rather put it back on 10.3 and worry about this when it's 100% figured out.
I just don't want to risk bricking from an update.

but thats the thing Myria, when you downgrade it. It shows that the Native Firm 9.2 is being patched. Unless something else is going on.

@Urbanshadow Shoot, guess we just have to hope for a fix, then. I'm out of ideas (unless my findings reveal something, which I highly doubt...)

try to run pasta cake rxtools gw blackscreen
Decrypt9 EmuNAND9 Immediately go back to HBL
can run FBI but can not install any cia
I donot have legit cia so I cannot test
I think downgrade is incomplete
we didnot get Kernel access

We did get kernel access, The whole point of DEADCAFE was invoking the kernel to say hello and it said Hi back.

@The_Jesus_2.0 I just successfully updated back to 10.3, so you are safe. Menuhax even still works after updating back. Currently downloading the 9.0 update to test if I can downgrade to that and use Smash to upgrade to 9.2
