Yes there is:Because there's no reason for it.
yes brain disabilities are real. You're making a stupid analogy. Here you're talking about disabilities, which has nothing to do with the topic.
I didn't quite catch what you meant, would you elaborate?
“The science” actually finds that transwomen maintain a competitive advantage after two years of hormone therapy, which is one year longer than specified in the IOC guidelines. On average, they’re 12% faster than their peers. Is it really that hard for you people to actually look at the science for once instead of just taking the word of people that have never once in their life been even involved in sport competitions at the highest level?
The TL;DR of all of it is very much that HRT will make the performance difference between top athletes practically identical within just a few years.
This begs the question... If men can win at women's sports, and women can win at men's sports, why do they need to be segregated to begin with? Sounds like it evens out to me.Another woman loses out to a biological man competing in womens sports....this is just another one in what seems to be a long list. Mind you I don't see biological women pretending to be men dominating in mens sports, so it seems like cheating to the vast percentage of the population.

I don't know how these so called "athletes" can look at themselves in the mirror and see a winner - all I see are cheats that failed as men and wouldn't stand a chance competing in their own biological class of sports so steal the titles from women instead.
There are much worse things than body mods to doom and gloom over. Will someone just start launching nukes already. Planet is totally fucked
Intersex.Pull down your pants and look in the mirror, if you've got a cock your a man, if you haven't got a cock your a woman, it's that simple and that is what you are till the day you die.
Yeah, people flashing other people is whole different issue. But it's totally cool when he goes into a men's toilet and pulls his cock out in front of a 7-year old boy?
The video goes into detail on that and mentions that body fat normalizes within two years and bone density within about 5 years, though both of those are rough estimates and ultimately depend on the person. The differently angled pelvis matters for about two sports types, and the other differences in bone structures have no real impact on performance once you compare athletes of both sexes of the same height with each other.“The science” actually finds that transwomen maintain a competitive advantage after two years of hormone therapy, which is one year longer than specified in the IOC guidelines. On average, they’re 12% faster than their peers.

There are also things HRT can never change - males and females have differently shaped pelvises which leads to a difference in how their legs are angled (in females an S-curve and pelvic tilt is developed during puberty). As a result, males and females have a different center of gravity. A female’s center of mass is lower and the pelvis is wider, allowing for better balance. A male’s center of mass is higher up, allowing for putting more force forward. That’s one of many differences that are unavoidable unless puberty was blocked *or* the transitioning process began before any puberty-related changes.
The notion that hormone therapy erases biological differences developed from childhood into adulthood has very little basis in fact. Even after the required one year of treatment, overall muscle mass drops only by 5% and the athlete retains musculoskeletal advantages. That’s not me saying it, that’s “the science”.
There’s certainly a lot to discuss here, but to use a blanket statement that transitioners don’t have a competitive advantage in certain disciplines doesn’t seem appropriate. We don’t even have a sizeable enough cohort of trans athletes to properly measure that.
Fortunately I don’t care enough about professional sports to have an opinion on the matter. It’s all hobbies turned into spectacles. What I will say is that the potential erasure of sex-based division in sports that you seem to be suggesting would effectively lead to the erasure of women from nearly all professional sports.
I'd say the reason could be numbers. It took forever for many sports to acknoledge female participation and even today women are still misrepresented as referees or couches. Now you need to think that women represent more or less half of the human population while transgender people don't amount to a 3%. And, of course, not all of them are interested in sports. If the question was rethoric, I apologize. What's stopping trans people from making their own fucking *category* of all-t athlets competitions instead of fucking around females?
Depends on the woman, some look mighty comfortable, others are a little too bony to sit on.(…) even today women are still misrepresented as (…) couches.
In fact, the trend seems to point out the sports administration want to set mandatory hormonal test for transwomen to stop this unfair advantange. Despite that, I doubt all controversy would cease just because they look into it more seriosly. At the end of the day, getting results is the only way for a professional athlete to keep his/her way of living and as soon as a transwoman would win, people would be upset. I'm also surprised of the vitriol many users have been pouring over all transgender people just because of some of them. It's like they are judging the whole buch just taking the worst part of the demographic.“The science” actually finds that transwomen maintain a competitive advantage after two years of hormone therapy, which is one year longer than specified in the IOC guidelines. On average, they’re 12% faster than their peers.

Uups... sorry for the typoDepends on the woman, some look mighty comfortable, others are a little too bony to sit on.
Sorry, couldn’t help myself.
That one case where a trans woman broke the orbit of a cis woman? A common injury in this kind of event? That there's more cases of cis woman breaking another cis woman's skull than what you're claiming?Like that MMA trans fighter that broke a female's skull?
Well, yes, but can't that happen in the already existing binary categories?but I'd assume that needs to have a stable constant that we can measure?
whatbio-engineering playground
WHAT¿??If you ask me, it is already noticeable.
Ladies and gentlemen, Biology expert, mrdude. What a genius! LMAOmost likely why men are better at chess, inventing stuff and creating things etc.
It was taking quite a while for them to associate trans people with pedophilia...Yeah, people flashing other people is whole different issue.
If trans women have no physical advantage over biological women, then why do they dominate women's sports? Listen, as a guy, I am admittedly out of shape. I'm a smoker, I dont exercise like I should, I have almost no cardio, but I guarantee I could beat the shit out of ten average women at the same time. If someone like Chuck Liddell transitioned, you think women's ufc would be fair or safe? Especially in a sport with heightened testosterone? No, he'd just be out there beating women to a pulp.
I fully support the right of people to be whoever they want to be, dont get me wrong. However, we have standards for a reason. Sports are separated by gender for reasons of fairness and safety. They should either be separated by biological gender or not separated at all. But some expect them to be separated by gender, then have special exceptions for a handful. Thats not right.
I will quote a person who made the perfect comment about this fight.”Her grip was different, I could usually move around in the clinch against other females but couldn't move at all in Fox's clinch.”
- Tamikka Brent, after her fight with Fallon Fox during which her orbital socket was fractured
Those who have them know exactly what it means. I have serious doubts whether they can just “go away”, measurements of grip strength certainly point to the contrary.”What does that sound like to you? It sounds like man hands to me.”
yes brain disabilities are real.
So are we just saying that there all the same? and that the category were all BS and they are all the same biology? This begs the question... If men can win at women's sports, and women can win at men's sports, why do they need to be segregated to begin with? Sounds like it evens out to me.
