A simple save editor for Tears of the Kingdom has appeared

Out of the blue and in a surprising manner, a very simple save editor for Tears of the Kingdom has appeared on GitHub created by user IchmagKekse. The application runs on PC, and it was developed using Visual Studio with C# language.

The editor right now is quite simple and barebones in its v1.0, only allowing the editing of rupees, hearts and stamina for the main game, but as for a few minutes ago from this post, the application was updated to v1.1.0, adding support for editing Bows, Shields, Weapons and Armor as well.
When more data mining is done for the game's data once it's properly out in the wild, the amount of data gathered from all around the homebrew scene will surely help to improve and further develop this save editor, and hopefully others which have been popular for BotW in a similar manner.

The time to unlock all of the Korok seeds and map locations automatically in Tears of the Kingdom can't come soon enough!

I imagine the save file structure is similar to BOTW, but still very impressive to see something like this already!
It seems like some of the armor and equipment pieces share the same naming convention from those in BotW.
I checked the code a bit, and there seems to be some new numbered pieces that aren't catalogued yet, so this could be a good opportunity for people to try out these new pieces and properly label to which armor piece that item name belongs to.

There's hope for a Xenosaga port.

This is going to sound incredibly stupid but anyway, how do you download from Github? Tried clicking on the icons but nothing.
Open the page in a desktop, or in desktop mode. Then click the code button in the upper right side.

If you want to clone the repository, you'll have the correct URLs in there to use together with the git command line or GUI tool.

If you don't care about the repo and file history and you only want the current state of the source files, then you can use the download zip link that also appears when you click the code button.

PS: or in case what you want is the compiled app instead of the source code, then go to the release tab and download the binaries from there.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
