Hacking Wood for R4i Gold Plus

Hey there guys, I received my first flash cart since my R4Ds and was wondering about wood support for it. I know the R4i Gold supports wood, but does the plus?

No it doesn't. It's a lame clone. Don't expect anything from it, though YSMenu should work fine.

Though there is no wood for r4i gokd plus , it is a mixture of wood and ysmenu. It uses the same infolib and extlib(i think i got the name wrong) as ysmenu . so you can use the files I mentioned above from rgf v 6.79

I'm not seeing "wood" anywhere on that site.

And that site is made with webs, a free website hosting service. So the people behind that didn't even bother to get their own website...

Anyways the "classic" R4 model (for DS/lite only) runs wood. The "R4i-SDHC" does not, you shouldn't have gotten that one.

Most R4i carts are DSTT clones, including the one in question. The R4iGold that actually runs Wood isn't a DSTT clone and is actually somewhat supported thanks to the mess that is R4iDSN/R4iGold. With that said, I have both flashcarts in question and I am still going to say the R4i Gold Plus is a lame clone, it's not going to run WoodR4, at best it will run that odd UI clone, WoodTT (possibly), ysmenu (possibly), and ttmenu (possibly). Don't expect anything from it. I also extend this opinion to all other clones excluding the R4iGold/R4iDSN for obvious reasons.

We hate clones because they lack support and updates.

However the R4i Gold/DSN is an outlier because it has official wood support and the teams seem to actually care about updates and saving face. The same cannot be said for all the other R4-named carts.
