For installing AC: HD, you're obligate to have 9.8 or up

Whenever I try to open it, it just shows an error message. Any ideas what went wrong? All the other games I tried worked.
delete it in your 3ds settings as you would with any other game and redownload from eshop, should fix the problem.
if you mean you cant play it, get Gridlauncher as your Homebrew Launcher (https://github.com/mashers/3ds_hb_menu/wiki) and select HANS. then select your out of region installed game. i play Majoras Mask (EU) on a USA system

10.4? Anyone know if the legit cias work with 10.4 after being installed on 10.3? Also will I brick if I update my N3DS XL with menuhax installed on 10-3? Thanks in advance.
legit cia does work in 10.4 with my n3ds (installed since 10.3 and then updated)
one thing though, i got a black screen after updating, it said it was going to reboot and left me with a black screen.
i took out the sd card and home menu came up. it gave me a error msg blah blah data something something.
i kept rebooting and it always gave me a black screen until i took out the sd card.
ive been searching everywhere if any one else had this problem, no luck.
finally i think i came with a solution ( actually i did two things, not sure which worked)
1. delete all homebrew files (making the sd back to stock)
2. change my theme (im guessing menuhax what still installed or something)
bam! no more black screen with sd inserted
hope this helps someone out there

but mine stops at cleaning up and then i press a and it starts but fails to install .CIAs
