Hey mods if your reading this thread, can we discuss the game even if it's not officially released yet? Technically it was released by Nintendo and was obtained legally so I'm not sure where the rules lie on this one.
Discussing of a game is always fine. We don't care how you obtain it, as long as you don't go around sharing links or requesting them.

but muh master raic!!!! :glare:

It worked fine for me on Windows.
It won't copy it for the life of me.
I'll transfer it to mah Linux laptop and try again from there.
Actually, maybe the card reader is faulty on this one. I got the Windows laptop used. (I have separate Linux and Windows laptops)

Hey-o, I can confirm this works well with US consoles with no long loading times and such (but you already had enough confirmations to know that).

But actually, I'm here to ask for a bit of help. So a friend of mine also wants to get in on the game, but the problem is that the game is 8.08 gigs, & he has an 8GB SD card (around 7.3 gigs of space basically). What I'm trying to do is to somehow reduce the file size just enough to be playable on that card.
I remember that before you could remove sound files that were language-specific (like Star Fox Zero's voice files) to reduce space and loading time, but this game doesn't have any of that. And the language-specific written dialogue text isn't gonna change much (around a MB). I know this is a long shot, but are there any other ways to decrease the game's size?

Dear NWPlayer123,

instead of beeing the attention-seeking guy you always are do something useful for once that actually helps the community.
Your current attitude and ego isn't helping anyone..

Backstory:
He got the game early, dumped it and then started distributing it via Torrent but later decided to stop doing so while everyone was only at 22% for the reason being to "get sued". Stop being such a whiny pussy and learn how Tor or VPNs work.

Sincerely,
the whole Wii U Hacking Community

He/She only did it because He/She didn't want to get sued by Nintendo (search up New Super Mario Bros Wii lawsuit). I underwhat why and I was perfectly fine with it.

Seems like a cute game so far. Battle system reminds me of sticker star but I'm okay with that. Wish there were more hours in the day for playing vidya.

The way they went about it was atrocious... but, given how it all ended. Immature person makes mistake. It happens. Hopefully they and the people still annoyed by it have learnt a lesson. Twitter isn't the place to announce or get dank wii u pre-release romz from. Besides, people got what they wanted... a whole 6 hours later. It was hardly the end of the world.

The "Wii U Hacking Community" should probably up it's game and stop being so heavily reliant on a handful people tbh. Just a thought.

Sorry have I missed something?, is it supposed to run slow or something cause mine runs perfect really good. I love the game by the way its amazing/fantastic, its like being back behind Paper Mario Thousand Year Door again on the Gamecude so much fun! I'm stuck at the moment trying to figure out how to get the cut out bit to get above near toads cafe part to collect the purple star in the left hand corner I think there is supposed to be a clue in asking toad with the newspaper but still I cannot understand it? anyone can let me know please would help.

Edit: I will go as far as to say this is the only loadiine game so far I have actually played for a long period of time and continuing, that's how good I think it is! By the way I have got this game on order before anyone thinks I am being cheap & nasty so I have actually paid for it. I just cannot wait any longer, massive Paper Mario fan over here it just had to be played in advance! :)

@SylverReZ, the other game where I found newgrounds is new york shark

Spoke to Tom Fulp the other day, if he can find his old Newgrounds site content like the mini Flash animations from the 2000's that played on the portal.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
So far no response, but he did say that he'll find them. Wayback Machine doesn't have em.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, atleast the 1999 versión of pico's school is avaliable (the difference between it, the 2006 versión and the 2016 versión is that the speed of the game depends of the speed of your computer and that it had the og soundtrack)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Another being Pico VS Bear, the original 1999 version before Jim Henson filed a DMCA takedown.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
The 2006 versión was made when the flash portal was made
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Many people thought it was lost, but was discovered that he hid it on the same page.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, although the "secrets" system where the game was has been removed. Also pico vs uberkids had a netplay versión that was shutdown, although the swf file has been found
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Nope. There are two download buttons on the same page, where you can download the original under a file called "bear.exe". "bear2.exe", however, is the updated game in a Flash projector. P.s. this was on the archived Pico page from 2000.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's been there for a long time, too. People who search for lost media don't look hard enough lmao.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, also the pico 2 demos used to be only for the newgrounds patrons but they are on internet archive too (https://archive.org/download/picos_school_2)

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Iirc the demos were removed from newgrounds in 2022
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, or well only the demo with mindchamber's style was on newgrounds

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Fun fact @SylverReZ: iirc one of the goals on the fnf Kickstarter stated that pico 2 would be finished but the Kickstarter didnt get enough money for that goal to be fullfiled
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, FNF sucks, their community is toxic as hell.

@SylverReZ its a single player game

@The Real Jdbye, Yea but it has a shitton of mods with their own songs and stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, and quite a lot of people involved in those mods get cancelled
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Newgrounds wasn't the birth of FNF; rather, it was games where you beat up celebrities and parodies.
