If they can't get around the efuses, then any worthwhile exploits/hacks will be on later firmwares.
oh hell yeah man, those that are above 3.0 do not know just what they are missing out on.
can't wait for the weed it will dispense, i forgot about that feature.
Mate I updated as I didn't know about the weed:sad::sad::sad::sad:

You know I'm quite curious, has anyone ever gotten around efuses?
I can almost guarantee they have not. Yet. It's a matter of time x interest.

Finally Switch dispenses something good and not just snot or nail polish remover. :grog:

Don't you have anything better to do? If you're not interested in homebrew then why are you even here. smfh
The fact you even feel the need to come here, rub it in people's faces and make fun of them (for staying on 3.0) just goes to show how much of a manchild you are and how much you actually feel insecure about yourself.
Grow up, you pathetic troll.

So you really believe that a person can't be curious about the development of a consoles scene, but not want to gimp his console by not updating to hope for some lame-ass homebrew applications you already can run on a million other platforms?

he mate why do you even say that u are on a higher firmware than 3.00?

no one cares... to be honest

And you know what, noone cares that you're telling me that noone cares.

2 + 2 is four minus 1 thats 3quick mathz

there is going to be an xbox1 emulator mate you'll be missing out big time.. B-)
Well, the Xbox One sure had lots of really awesome games you can't play anywhere else...

The only problem I have with my battery is that it's taking too long to die since I don't play it long enough for the battery to drain.

Had you opted out of updating, you would be able to participate in the scene. Instead, you seem to have decided to update, and go on every thread related to the scene so that you can insult the homebrew that developers spend a huge amount of time and effort on. So what if a lot of homebrew are emulators? They are an interesting challenge for devs, and they give a lot more content than an original game would.

If you want to help the scene, leave forever. You are only contributing grief, and you claim that you aren't even interested in homebrew. So, why are you even here?

Just the Switch specifically or other examples?

The RGH on the xbox 360 does allow for the efuse check to be bypassed, allowing newer firmware to run.

At a guess, to bypass the counter check we'd either need a way to bypass the check or a way to rewrite the expected value.

Reading the article (the TL;DR part)
Stay on firmware 3.0.0. The Kernel exploit itself won’t be released (although the presentation seems to give more than enough hints for skilled people to try and implement one themselves), however a homebrew launcher is coming soon for firmware 3.0.0. Nothing in terms of announcements that the scene didn’t already “know” or expect, but just confirmation from the hackers themselves.
So what could be a good reason to stay on 2.3.0 since I think there will be a "public" kernel exploit coming soon or later also for 3.0.0 as well?

I opted to update and actually use my console instead of waiting and eventually running, atleast for me totally useless and pointless homebrew apps.
Since you seem to know my post history, you'd know that I'm here because i find it interesting to see a scene develop.

Satisfied?
I hope so, go away and play with your dolls now.

I think you need to go away and play your switch while we wait for home brew

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
