About
Hello and welcome to the first bi-monthly GBATemp Cup! I am delighted to run this tournament, and as such, I will continue hosting this tournament unless I am unable to do so; which I will pass the honor on to a volunteer.
This tournament will be a standard, two sided tournament with 4 people competing at one time and 3 moving on. There may be a case where only 3 people can compete at once; thus in that case, only 2 people will move on.
The tournament will be held on a currently undetermined date. It will be held sometime between 2/10/2018 and 3/3/2018. The tournament will last for approximately one week so it gives every group a chance to race and submit their results. Groups will be determined randomly and once the groups are determined, the results will be posted here as well as live streamed on Twitch by @bennyman123abc.
Game
The tournament will take place on the game "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" for the Nintendo Switch. I will include a link at the bottom of this post that will take you to the eShop to purchase the game if you would like to compete in this tournament and have not already purchased a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Rules
Standard game rules do apply along with the following list of rules.
- NO CHEATING OF ANY KIND!

Result Submission and Racing Group Exceptions
- To ensure valid race results, each racing group will be required to verify the results of a race by either sending a screenshot posted on Twitter from one of the Switch consoles, or the entire group agreeing on the submitted results. A picture on a cell phone will also be allowed, but will be verified for integrity.
- Two people who live in the same household or can easily visit one or the other's house may request to be in the same racing group.
- Results will be of the best of 4 races for each racing group.

The final tournament bracket will be posted after the tournament registration closes.
