But then, after hours of fan excitement, an official response emerged from within Blizzard apparently designed to dampen down the flames: "As of now, we do not have any current plans to announce Diablo for Switch," a spokesperson told us.

So, what's going on? Well, while Blizzard makes its mind up, Eurogamer sources have told us that yes - the project is very much in production. And as you might expect, the game will be a port of Diablo 3.

EDIT: It should be noted that I take everything online with a grain of salt, but Euro hasn't steered me wrong yet. This is very exciting!

First time i'm hearing that people said that Diablo 3 wouldn't be coming to the switch so what's the point of this title ?

Probably because diablo 3 is already on the 360/ps3, so porting it would be more easier and, lets get logical here, less money consuming from the devs. Even though, pretty sure if they indeed bring diablo 3 to switch, it would contain the assets or at least some from the one/ps4 versions.

Overwatch would be more of a challenge, especially on handheld mode... until you want dynamic resolution below 600p and 30 unstable frames per second

Yes, it is awesome to play on the go or away from home. BUT its not 60ish$ awesome.

I can understand that. I'm all for remasters and ports of older games because having those games on the go is fuckin' amazing. I'm NOT about paying full price for remasters and ports. That shit ain't okay. 30, maybe even 40 bucks and I'm down.

When you say "What's the point of this?", that's equivalent to telling someone "this was a waste of time" or "why even post this if there's no sense to it?". I apologize for jumping the gun, but you might wanna be more careful in the future. As for where I heard, it's literally right in the first post. A Blizzard rep said they had no plans. That could be construed in a few different ways, but a lot of Reddit figured this meant they weren't bringing it to the system.

Idk. there is a list of 20 something xb1 titles rumored to be getting the better together patch..all rumored to be coming to the switch with MS' help. Diablo 3 is amoung them. If I would rebuy the game if it is apart of the better together pact and it includes all dlc to date.

Better Together isn't a Minecraft exclusive thing? I didn't know Microsoft was aiming to cross platform other games. This is even better news if the Diablo 3 port is apart of these and is actually happening. It would so validate any reasoning for buying a portable option!
