Underground scene piracy group known as BigBlueBox are at it again, this time releasing a further 2 master keys for use with the Nintendo Switch.[prebreak]1[/prebreak]
In their latest Switch game cartridge dump, the group have now revealed the master_key_01 and master_key_02 key strings (only the 00 key was available up until now).

"this will allow you to decrypt all your dumpable NCA files as well as our currently released games so far apart from Bayonetta2 as thats master_key_03"

It's worth noting that these keys can be used to decrypt .NCA files, the same week a Switch game cart dumper was released.

At the time of writing it is still impossible to run ripped Switch game cartridge files, but after this week, and a year of Switch hacks - it looks like we are closer than ever to seeing retail games running on hacked Switch systems.

Only 4 teams have shown the ability to hack/obtain keys so far. Reswitched (doubt they did this to themselves), fail, unlikely. Leaves bbb and TX. Unless theres now a 5th player?

Personally, i rather see a 'tool' or 'device' or 'public scripts' that you can 'upload' to find the needed keys yourself, like the good old days of grabbing the 'dvd drive key' on xbox 360, even if it means some soldering or drilling a hole, instead of the need to bury or leak keys in the from of 'images' or 'pokes' at others in scene .nfo files, etc.

I didn't make the 'pastebin' up with the keys, just reporting the news, i don't censor news, yes it is sad what the anonymous author did, but the mud-slinging has been going on from both sides for a few months now.

Oh come on. We are talking about basic human decency here. If you want to report the news, sure, do so. But there is no reason to frame in the same manner the releasing group did.

What's next? If the group releases something new with child porn pictures, you'll post that too with that same excuse?

Whatever is going on between the guys in the pics and the group, remains between them. There is no reason to help spread the drama, which you were effectively doing. Your site is about gaming news, stick to that. Unless turning the site into a tabloid-esc for sake of clicks is the goal here.

Obviously by "you" I mean whoever is involved on the site.

Edit: I see now it's "censored". I use that term loosely really. While it's a good first step, it's not really enough. You are still keeping the context up there for the sake of the drama. It's not hard for people to search for uncensored ones if they knew of it existence. But there is no reason at all to make people aware of their existence.

I believe the reswitch team isn't pro piracy (hell hedgeberg wouldn't release some of their stuff because it may have led to it) but they're also not going to "build a wall around their garden" (ScrisM said that I believe in regards to people trying to block the 3DS scene by putting lots of limits in their CFW).

Still I find it crude that people would go to such extreme. Sure BBB may have had a reason to have beef with some of the RS team but that doesn't make it right to post their RL pictures with those descriptions :x

I hope that those that were attack aren't too shaken up by this to the point where they'll stop all activity in regards to the switch and thus we can kiss that summer release of FG goodbye...

You realise that Ktemkin and Hedge BOTH do live (public) twitch streams right?, you can see and hear them clear as day?. Again this is a non-issue and just someone making a non-story into a story. Why hide their pics?, you can see videos of them right here and here (i think some videos have facials as well as voice)




Not seen SciresM, except his hands on some YT videos but if you've ever talked to him on Discord then you'll come to understand he's one of the nicest guys and SUPER chill. I'm not sucking up to him, this is based on talking to him on discord for ages.
