On a side note, hopefully there's a way to remove that waifu at boot. I get the appeal, I was in my 20's once and love anime, but the alur loses itself once your married, have a family, ect.

oof. To be fair, the screen shouldn't be seen very often if you're running it 100% of the time (as long as sleep mode is working).

hekate never was based on Atmosphere. Actually, it's even the opposite, since Fusée uses code from hekate.
People just used it with parts of Atmosphere, but hekate is built independently from the ground up. To put it simply, it would be an alternative to the Fusée part of Atmosphere, which isn't functional yet, as far as I'm aware.

They started building Fusée before hekate was public, I believe. They might also have different goals than hekate, and probably want the whole ecosystem under their control.

Yes we very much still need Reswitched.

telemetry still needs patching, Scires is working on reimplementing erpt among others to prevent error reports being sent to Nintendo. Layeredfs and general mod support is also far from done.

Reswitched continues to be very valuable for the scene moving forward.

Not necessarily. The biggest pains in the ass in the CFW development process are research and debugging. Keep in mind Atmosphère started development from near-nonexistent documentation about five months ago and is mostly focused on full reimplementations rather than patches. You could go about it a more minimalistic way, which would certainly take less time to produce. The point is, it could take several months to get to a relatively stable state or it could Spanish Inquisition any minute, Rei knows his shit and there's no telling how long this has been in the works.

But, in all seriousness, it's just a screen that shows up one or two seconds and can almost certainly be edited with either a simple file replacement or a rebuild.

But man, it'd be funny if the stage 2 payload was embedded in the image itself; like, say, inserted in a PNG after the IEND chunk.

sorry I don't know too much about behind the scenes. the github is under his name. So thanks to all who made it possible. I'm hoping we get to see at least 70 percent of what we got on the 3DS.
