Hacking Reisyukaku teases ReiNX (CFW)

Should someone who's on 4.1 update to the latest version then? I thought I read somewhere that updating is now unsafe. I think that was on the ipatched switch discussions...

First, ReiNX is compatible with 4.1.0.

Second, if you can use Fusée Gelée on your system and you're content with forever using Fusée Gelée to load CFW, then it is safe to update normally. Fusée Gelée cannot be patched on systems already vulnerable to it.

Alternatively, you can instead follow this guide to update while preserving a downgrade path to 4.1.0 by not burning efuses, but it requires that you install AutoRCM, which will cause your Switch to coldboot into RCM each time you power it on. Being able to downgrade to 4.1.0 might be beneficial if you want a software method of booting CFW in the future that isn't Fusée Gelée.

If you're on a newer Switch that is not vulnerable to Fusée Gelée, then you should not update.

Hmm in dock mode the switch gpu runs in fullspeed and nothing got fried.

Depends on what the intended aim of that action was.

The display in the NX is not super HD, so the GPU would not be pushing more pixels. However, there might be benefit to enabling the full GPU to get access to the vector processing capabilities. This could be of benefit to some emulators, as they could offload some otherwise expensive functions to the GPU. Simply because it is unlocked does not mean it is going to be grunting 100% utilization nonstop, like it would be on the dock pushing super HD video.

It could instead just be doing a little bit of floating point math in addition to its normal GPU load.

I purchased a generic A5-V11 chinese "3G router". The kind with the battery.
From what I am reading, it might be smarter to purchase an official Hame MPR-A2 instead, (Bigger flash rom, more consistent hardware-- but more expensive.) but I have already made the purchase, and am awaiting delivery.

I am going to push Fusee-LEDE on it. (I am proficient with embedded linux. I am not scared of this process.)

In the future, I might purchase an Adafruit M0 for internal installation. Time will tell.

Just very very risky to me that metod... my jig no always go to rcm at the first time so... you know.
