It's not a strawman argument. XCI loading provides actual utility. Running 6.0 prior to official release does not, at least not for actual end users. It kind of goes without saying that SX OS will run on 6.0 prior to the first game that requires 6.0. Probably before the update even officially comes out; within 24 hours, I'd say.

Until a free CFW clones all functionality found in SX OS, SX OS will continue to be a thing. The end.

ReiNX. Now leave, please.

ah thanks for clearing that up i bet if the old tx was there and not these code leeches (I mean you'd think they'll at least rip off Raj so we can even update but nope (considering pretty much any TX'd switch is superbanned
They can't copy paste something that isn't on a GitHub.

There isn't a single user who was banned for going online and using only .NSP files
still doesnt change the fact thats as of now the ban rate between rei/other and sx is pretty even if the person didnt went online with a banned cert or with a nsp game.

While I don't see eye-to-eye with TX's recent practices, nor see myself ever purchasing or recommending SXOS over other free solutions; It's nice to see they're still providing frequent updates for their userbase.
Hopefully they keep this kind of support going better than the gateway team did.

I haven't had a chance to review the numbers and see how many people were banned for not using SX OS or LayeredFS, but last I checked LayeredFS and SX OS had very similar numbers if not SX OS now taking the lead. Part of the issue is that some users used both SX OS and LayeredFS which obfuscates the data slightly. However if you would like to point me to users who have used neither and were banned, I would welcome such data as my spreadsheet is the collection of most of the bans happening on the Switch.

there are some people in their that seemingly purely used homebrew and got caught based on error reports, either that or some of them just wont admit what they did.

I can only confirm of one user being banned due to homebrew and that user also cleared error logs on 5.X. Now while homebrew does carry a risk of getting banned, I personally feel like its more likely he was banned for clearing his error logs inappropriately.

Fine, I'll bite. Name one game you can play on SX OS with your precious XCIs that I can't install as an NSP with ReiNX.
so are you claiming that all xci games can be converted to nsp and they will work?
I asked you to name 1 game first because you're the one claiming that reinx is superior but you chose not to answer the question.
I use sx-os because from what i've experienced it's easier for me to put my sx-pro dongle into my switch than it is for me to plug my switch to a computer or a phone to run the payload. also the only file I need to download on my sd card is a boot.dat. and that's it. So i don't believe any claims that reinx is easier to use.

I assume you're talking about the current black-screen issue with 6.0?
Or is there something else I've missed?
The "6.0.0" compatibility update was stolen from unreleased Atmosphere code and not only doesnt work, but could damage an SD card formatted as exFAT.

Yes, because that's true

>I asked you to name 1 game first because you're the one claiming that reinx is superior but you chose not to answer the question.

I name every game.

>I use sx-os because from what i've experienced it's easier for me to put my sx-pro dongle into my switch than it is for me to plug my switch to a computer or a phone to run the payload.

Fair point.

All you need for ReiNX is a single, convenient zip file and then everything else is 100% exactly the same.

could be the case too. i in the first place was disagreeing with the fact that sx is seemingly a sureway ticket for a ban while the other cfw arent like the user hinted at.
For such a bolt statement we simply lack data and time. And as of now the data between all major cfw is close to equal.

Hot-damn that sucks. Hopefully they can push a working hot-fix before 6.0 actually drops then.
I'd hate to hear users' cards corrupting over something like this.

You expect a lot from a team consisting of 2 people scanning github for shit to steal.
Regardless, it'd be nice if they fixed the issue before 6.0.0 is officially out to avoid harming a bunch of users.
(Even though yeah, it'll probably end up being copied code from Atmosphere again)
