Homebrew [Help] Retroarch not working

I download 1.7.5 retroarch and downloaded the new cia for retroarch but when i launched it it said "cant get cia info". What does this mean? how can i fix it?

I might need more details. Like what cias were installed, which core...
EDIT: try running a core first

Actually you can, there is a .cia for each core in /retroarch/cores/ but the main retroarch.cia should install them when you load a core, try and individual core and make sure the retroarch folder is in the root of the sd card.
For refrence i'm using the Gambatte (GameBoy Color core) My 3DS is 11.8 luma 9.1 and Retroarch 1.7.5 (.cia)
