Have you tried updating the files on the card? I have an old R4 and the game works in the latest version of WoodR4.
Edit: Backup your file systems just in case if you want to update.

It's possible to power off the system from software, many DS games have this feature (eg; Nintendogs powering down the system when you choose to quit). Though in the case of the 3DS, it goes to the 'software was closed' sleep mode screen instead.
It works on R4i SDHC for me, not that it's any good, just a mock up of the start

You see, this project was started in DS Game Maker, I know C++, but it would require an entire rewrite, Its not open source if it was made in a "game maker". If i do rewrite it tho, (which I will when i get time since i never got very far), I will make it open source

I've been to his chicken restaurant he started in his 2nd movie, Holy Chicken, was pretty good. It is only 15-20 miles from me in Ohio. It only lasted 1 yr or so then closed tho.

There are very few people I just have just an immense dislike of and he's one of those very few people, the only other example is Gene Simmons. My musician uncle on my mother's side of the family actually met Gene once during some event and said he was the most unpleasant person to be around.
