I still have a really old G6 which isn't ideal.

As far as I am aware, is Pokemon R/S/E the only game that requires real time clock? I'm also aware that those games have patches to bypass the need for it so I don't know if I really need to worry about that if it's significantly costlier to get a cart that supports RTC.

I'd say EZFlash Omega, of the ones that are still on the market. Can't do RTC, but you can patch the Pokemon games, so it doesn't really matter. EverDrive GBA X5 is another option, but that is a bit of an investment to make just to avoid patching three Pokemon roms. Supercard is pretty cheap. I'm not sure what the catch is there, maybe someone else can explain.

I'd say it's a toss up between EZ IV/Reform and Omega. The former has battery backed SRAM so can have annoying "Dry Battery" issues, requires quick power cycling if you want to ensure saves are written to microsd (as long as you have a good battery, it shouldn't matter much), and has longer load times. The latter writes saves directly to microsd which risks corruption, for which I'm still rather hesitant because of the inconsistency of that corruption, but it has great load times (once a save is created) and it has a RTC if you're into that sort of thing.

Having said that, I've never used an EverDrive so can't really speak to how good/bad it is. I mean, if someone wants to send me a free review copy.. :) j/k

@K3Nv2 I got some cheapies at wallys, that are pretty good, already have lost a few expensive ones (one falls out and gone, can't find) while cutting grass so bought some cheap ones, and of course never lose these cheap ones. (Cheap meaning only $35, compared to air buds which I only have 1 of 2 now)
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
They need to add air tags to they airbuds..
