The Last of Us: Part II now has a release date

Every PlayStation 4 owner has been hotly anticipating the release of the sequel to last generation’s beloved game, The Last of Us. Today, during PlayStation’s State of Play stream, the launch date was revealed by Naughty Dog. On February 21, 2020, the wait will finally be over. Joel, the previous entry's protagonist also shows up, at the tail end of the teaser trailer.

Looks like it improved on pretty much everything from the first game. Might actually get a ps4 for this.

No, but paying for an online subscription AND having to pay full price for the game is a little much.
Wot. PS Now is a streaming service (from Sony, NOT third party???) that gives you access to a library of available titles, which don't cost extra, unless you want to keep them forever, aka buy them digitally like normal. TLOU, to my knowledge, does not require online features, either, so you don't have to pay for a PS+ sub either. So you just pay the probably 15/mo sub fee, and get to stream TLOU right to your PC. I'm highly confused by what you're saying here.

It’s a shame that neither this game or the first one is on PC...
I have a hacked PS3, played it and beat it a few years ago. I wouldn't buy a PS4 for the remaster or the new one. Only thing that hyped me during that State of Play was Medievil, which looks really good.

Ooh I didn’t know that you could stream TLOU without buying the full games. I thought that you needed the $15/month subscription AND the game. My b.
Also the last line about third party launchers was referring to the likelihood that the games would ever be released on something like Steam (which would never happen in a million years).

Now the real question is, Will this have day 1 patches? Here's hoping not.

So you would rather it have no Day 1 patch and be broken? What do you feel would be a better time frame for a patch release? A month after the game is out? And before the "How about they fix it BEFORE release?" comment.... since when does THAT happen?
