What is this nonsense? lolIf GC emulation really isn't viable, would n64 work? RetroArch n64 runs really badly on the switch and has lots of frame pacing issues
Lots of frame pacing issues and stutter, certain parts of mario 64 lag regardless of resolution settings or overclock, such as when you play with mario's face on the title screen. It's not really viable, at least on my end. Doesn't seem to matter what game I R-override, and even turning on and off airplane mode didn't do anything to helpWhat is this nonsense? lol
To me almost every game I played on Mupen64+ Next has run incredibly well.
Only a selected few Rare titles struggle, but commits from months ago have addressed some of those issues.
I don't know why people still want N64 injection on that crap when RetroArch's is superior in every way.
Well I 100% Mario 64 in it and I didn't notice any stutter or lag at all (outside of the obvious areas like the Bay or so)Lots of frame pacing issues and stutter, certain parts of mario 64 lag regardless of resolution settings or overclock, such as when you play with mario's face on the title screen. Can you share your settings? Can you go to Information > Core Information when the core is loaded? It's not just mario 64 btwWell I 100% Mario 64 in it and I didn't notice any stutter or lag at all (outside of the obvious areas like the Bay or so)
I use mostly default settings for almost everything. Delete your .cfg file and try again. Can you share your settings? Can you go to Information > Core Information when the core is loaded? It's not just mario 64 btw
I've reinstalled retroarch several times and played around with the settings a lot. Are you on NRO RetroArch or NSP? I'm on the former. If you could also take a screenshot of what version the core is on and if maybe I need to manually update the core, that would be usefulI use mostly default settings for almost everything. If for certain games you are having issues with, try enabling/disabling framebuffer, and if the game needs framebuffer, then try enabling/disabling some of the RDRAM options, like color depth and so.
You need to close content and reload the game for the changes to take effect.
Once you have the perfect setting for a certain game, make sure you click on the game's name under "Options" when the game is loaded, and that will save a specific per-game override, which will save the settings and options for that game only.
I'm using the latest nightly of the core. Post sound fix after the servers hack.I've reinstalled retroarch several times and played around with the settings a lot. Are you on NRO RetroArch or NSP? Huh, I used the stable and not nightly. I'll grab that now and hopefully it will actually run out the boxI'm using the latest nightly of the core. Post sound fix after the servers hack.
And I'm using the NRO by using title redirection on BotW.
There is still hope, m4x said that he needs to make a static recompiler but he needs help from a developer who has experience with them
M4xw said it would be easier to make a whole new emulator, which is still a huge feat. This is a TON of work though. Almost as much as creating a new emulator. So don't expect anything for a long while.
Why has no one bothered comparing Nintendo's Shield Tv games to this game. There is minimal information online regarding Twilight Princess, Mario Galaxy etc.
It's semi-emulation. Large portions of the games were recompiled for the switch.Agree with Ghost92, this is emulator actually
