Bravely Default II's "final demo" is up on the Nintendo Switch eShop

It may not be the full release, as the game was delayed to 2021, but Square Enix is letting fans get some Bravely Default action in before then, with a new demo. Titled the "Final Demo", players will get to try out the gameplay in full swing, with a battle-ready party of 4, already equipped with jobs and abilities. If you download the demo, you'll also receive 100 My Nintendo Platinum points, which is an extra bonus. Bravely Default 2 is set for a February 26th launch, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

They really mean Bravely Default III, since Bravely Second is already Bravely Default II.
No... Bravely Second is Bravely One part 2.
This is Final Fantasy. They will never make a easy system to follow.

Also, NOPE! Staying away from the Demo. I'm not at all wanting to play it... I don't need it. I can wait... I can wait.... I can...

This called "II" however it's 3rd of series and Bravely "Second" is the 1st instead.

Is that means Bravely default chronologically happened before Bravely "2nd"?

Bravely Default II is actually the fourth game in the Bravely series, following the original game, Bravely Default and its successor Bravely Second and then Bravely Default: Fairy's Effect on Android and IOS. While Second was a direct story follow up from Default, and Fairy's Effect set before the events of Default. Default 2 is a new and unrelated story and cast of characters

this and 3d world are the only games I have preordered. I haven't played any in the series, so maybe I should download this demo. I just hate downloading demos though, because you can't filter them out when redownloading content from the eshop.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
