Hi again guys. I recently purchased an 1TB mSD for my OLED Switch, and it should arrive by Thursday. Instead of having to redownload all of my games, can I just copy the current mSD contents to my computer, and then just copy everything over to the new mSD card? Help appreciated :)

Typically emunand takes up about 30G. You can trim it down if it bothers you.
https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-resize-your-emunand-mmc.587024/

Are you on an OLED Switch?
I have V1 Switch, Unpatched Erista unit. Any idea why the emuNAND taking up larger space than usual? I followed THIS GUIDE to the letter, and somehow my emuNAND is different than others. I'm asking this because i did read somewhere that emuNAND takes up around the same size of Switch Internal Storage, so around 30gb like you said.

And i encountered a rather confusing issue after setting up the emuNAND. My switch now depletes the battery faster than usual. The battery goes down from 100% to 0% in the span of 18 hours, even though it's complete shutdown (turned it off in hekate menu). I'm sure it's not the joycon draining the battery, because both are fully charged before i turned off my Switch. I checked the battery info using hekate, and the battery seems okay (still has around 90% capacity). This has happened twice. This is so strange, never happened before. Thanks in advance!

OK, that’s perfect. You determined the size of the partition when you did the following step:
  • To create a partition-based Emunand:
    • Move the emuMMC (RAW) slider until it says 29 full, then press Next Step and finally press Start.

The battery drain thing is kinda normal for switch. There are no changes made to the Operating System when you hack your switch. You can search the forums for complaints about it. It has nothing to do with emunand (literally just something residing on a file system that’s only instantiated during the boot process.) Purely coincidental.

Yes, you can just copy everything over. Trickiest part is the hidden emunand partition. I typically just use EaseUS or AOMEI to just clone everything (literally all partitions) from the original SD card direct to the new SD card and once cloned I go back and expand just the FAT32 partition to make use of the extra space.

I dunno, maybe get creative and show up in person at GameStop to see if you can find a cool sales guy that will let you check serial numbers?

Chip modders are around but are going to be careful about advertising. Might want to let folks know the area you’re in.
I'm in Nebraska. xD

I doubt the GS near here has any v1's in stock.

I consider changing from my V1 switch to a modded OLED switch due to the OLED screen, better battery and better processor (overclocking is better on V2/OLED than on V1).

I have found a shop where to buy a modded OLED switch. On the screenshots it looks like there is sxos installed. However, I would like to install atmosphere on it.
Is this possible on a modded switch oled?

Does a modded switch oled has any disadvantages compared to a V1 switch?
Is the booting method (RCM + hekate) as reliable as on the V1 switch?

Hi guys. Are there any apps that allow you to dump your user profile to import into another modded switch? The reason I ask this is because there's certain games that require you to be friends to be able to play on LAN together (namely Minecraft). There's no way to add a friend without being connected to Nintendo Switch Online. You can send a friend request locally, but it cannot be approved until you go online and connect to their servers, which obviously can't be done on CFW. So my goal is to take one of my clean, unbanned Switches and create 4 users (1 for each of my family members), add each other as friends. I'm assuming I can do that all on 1 console with friend codes or something. Once I have all 4 users accept the friend requests, I will create an emunand which I believe makes a copy of your original profiles. Then I want to export these users to my other Switches that my kids play. Please let me know if this is possible? And if so, what app has the ability to copy user profiles? Not sure if there's a flaw in this idea as I don't know if "Friends Lists" data will export with the user profile. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

That’s a weird flex actually. To get SXOS on a V3 they would have to downgrade the FW on the Emunand to 11.0.0 because OLED comes with 13.x by default. Prolly just a marketing picture.

People absolutely run Atmosphere on OLED. It’s pretty much the standard at this point for all versions of Switch.

You already stated OLED’s advantages. It’s just generally better hardware that you’ll find on Nintendo’s glossy flier.

OLED doesn’t use RCM to hack the boot process, it uses glitching while V1 is the one that uses RCM.
Because of how glitching works you can’t do things like reboot to payload on a V3. Things like fastCFWswitch are in the same boat. It‘s minor things during boot that differentiate V1 from V2 and V3 and that sort of thing doesn’t come into the picture that often so not a big deal.

Only thing I can think of that comes remotely close is Linkalho.

Hey Guys, I can't start "Android 10 Lineage" anymore (black screen), since I updated my "OFW + Hekate and Atmosphere".

Hekate 5.7.0
AMS 1.2.6|E
My Switch was below 4.0.0 and I updated to 13.2.1
I'm using EmuNAND CFW for Atmosphere.

Does anybody know how to get rid of the black screen? Some people say, I need to clean my SD Card and get a fresh install of everything again. That was a lot of work, would like to avoid that somehow. Can I somehow just update my Android 10 Lineage Install? :/

That might actually play to your advantage. With the rest of the restrictions you’ve placed on yourself, you’re probably out of luck unless you want to trade your card in for cash and hit eBay like @Hayato213 suggests. Best of luck in your search!

Ok, maybe you are right and it really comes with atmosphere installed. That would be good.

So, how will I be able boot into hekate, if not via RCM? Isnt it the method with the jig clip?
And on V1, I were able to setup my bootloader to autoboot into RCM. If V3 doesnt use RCM, is there a similar method to autoboot into hekate (or into that glitch mode, from where I can boot into hekate)?

You could purchase a realm subscription through Microsoft and invite anybody (including family) to join your realm.

You can also use poison dns to escape the walled garden of Nintendo/Microsoft:

https://github.com/Pugmatt/BedrockConnect

This will allow you to use any public servers (like Hives and Pixel Paradise…if you don’t know…ask you’re kids!) you want with unrestricted access to…bedwars, hide and seek, well...everything! If you don’t trust this you can run your own personal dns using their code and do the same thing.

I’ve done all of these options with great success.

The chip does the glitch for you automatically…it uses a different technology altogether since the Nvidia/Tegra bug was patched from late V1 to all V2 and V3. The default SX Core was only able to kick off boot.dat. If they install a SX Core chip you can update the firmware with https://github.com/Spacecraft-NX/firmware. They should do this at the shop you buy from BEFORE you buy. If they won’t it’s probably one of the first clones that you can’t upgrade. Later HWFLY clones can be upgraded as well. https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-how-to-flash-the-hwfly-clone-chips.606008/

edit: found the shortlist of software that doesn‘t like Mariko(V2)/Aula(v3)
https://gbatemp.net/threads/sx-core-mariko-list-of-non-compatible-tools.567803/

edit2: on the odd chance they install SXOS (?!?!) you can migrate like this as well. https://rentry.org/mys8q

On V1, when upgrading my stock switch firmware, I only have to reactivate the autoboot into rcm in hekate.

How is it on the oled switch? Can I always update the stock firmware without fear? Will that autoboot into the glitch always work?

here the android ini:

[Switchroot Android 10]
payload=switchroot/android/coreboot.rom
id=SWANDR

Thanks for interpreting correctly…android.ini is what I was actually after. (Was thinking maybe it got overwritten in hekate_ipl.ini but that’s clearly not going to be the case.)

Does everything look good in /switchroot/android? coreboot.rom is intact?

Next we need to look at partitions using something like AOMEI or EaseUS. Make sure all the partitions are intact. Please post a screenshot of your partitions.
