This version is superior to the psp version let's not split the limited modding resources even thinner.

As someone who eagerly anticipated SC for the PSP "back in the day" every step of the way, was bitterly disappointed it took so long, was too late for a physical release, not to mention for the 3rd game to even get the slimmest of chances of being worth releasing (while being well aware that SC getting a PSP release over here at all - without anyone dying for it to boot - was pretty much a miracle), I feel nobletaran1's struggle.

But yeah. Buddy, it's time to invest in a Vita - it's well worth it just for Trails, trust me on that.

Yeah absolutely, in an ideal world we'd just have releases in English for everything! But given we're now so close to having every trails game made for the Vita translated to "official quality" levels once the geofront Azure patch come out we should be grateful and focus on that.

I have the psp version so what make this version superior? FYI Im the guy that doesn't care for the Trails of the Sky games, more of a Ys fan.

Some additional new subquests, excellent full VO, animated portraits (with new art), and new music (which some people dislike, but I prefer, honestly) - stuff like that. The VO is the big one, but all of those additions are subtle and well judged, I think.

Do Zero and Azure have a music toggle DLC like the earlier games? But yeah nailed it, the VO and better graphics make the vita version the superior experience easily.

Currently looking through the Azure exclusive stuff and attempting to translate it.

Would you consider an initial release with just the Geofront stuff translated, if the additional translation is what's holding an Azure release back?

Zero and Azure Evolution don't have original soundtrack DLC. But the official localizations will be of the Kai versions, which will only have the original soundtrack. (Maybe some fans will do a patch of the re-orchestrated Evo soundtracks for the Steam/GOG/Epic releases.)

It's a shame that the extra Vita content didn't make it into the Kai versions, but hopefully we'll be able to play that with the Zero and Azure Evo patches soon... (Well, already can play it with Zero.)

Is trail 3rd really necessary

Its the epilogue to the original trilogy and explains some a couple of minor things you won't get in Zero. There are also a few parts that make the foundation of several characters who show up in Crossbell/Cold Steel

I doubt NISA even knows about this patch even existing. so as long as this remains under the radar then it'll be fine imo. they've already lost any goodwill they had with TLOH western fandom

Well, if NISA and/or Geofront has asked them to stop, at least we can play portably on the Steam and Switch versions, and maybe someone will do a music patch for the Evo orchestration.
