I'm wondering the same thing. I want to partition my hard drive into two formats, one for Wii U and one for vWii. Did you ever figure this out?

At present, the Wii U drive must be fully formated to be used and doesn't support partitioning at all.

If you double-partition the drive on PC, the Wii U will still format the full drive (and destroy both partitions) before it can be used.

If you partition the drive on Wii U first and then try to partition it on your PC, the PC will not be able to read the drive at all until it's formatted for use on Windows / Mac / Linux, destroying the partition made by the Wii U.

Best way is to have two separate drives, even if one or both drives are high-capacity USB sticks, plus some additional software on SD Card(s) to be launched through Loadiine.

Ah that's unfortunate. Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. :grog:

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite
    for people with beefy hands.
