Guys, I shorted the 3.3V line with this component that I marked in the photo and it swelled and burned, resulting in uninitialized NAND. I'm not finding what this component would be... In the photo it says L(underlined)18 A3 but I don't think so.....can you help me?

I would start by checking the dat0/cmd resistors (on the chip pcb). if they are 47 ohm they should be replaced with 100 ohm. if this doesn't help i'd try reseating and cleaning around the dat0 adapter. if still no go, get an rp2040-zero or tiny and ditch the hwfly garbage
ThankYou. I might hobble along.....treat it like a paper clip mod.

Its so odd. It's almost as if the switch shuts down straight into recovery mode.
Upon a restart or shutdown. I never see any lights until some magical wait period or combo of starts and 12 second shutdowns. But once I see lights it works. Anyhoo. Might be time to redo it. I'll get parts.
I'm thinking that a switch on the battery would fix me.....but I don't have that.

I think that is just a small voltage regulator (1.8v 3A) for the ACL5639 as it needs both 3.3v and 1.8v

What I think is even more interesting is the possibility to glitch all other (emmc) hardware with little effort with a few adjustments.
smart TV, Android tablet and whatever else there is
This ain't gonna come out since we have yet to get more information about the project, of which there isn't from what I am aware of.

Hi,

Sorry if this is the wrong post/place to ask, seem like the right one, but I was going to design a new OLED Data0 adapter and some other things relating to the picofly and I just wanted to know a few things:

* Is this something anyone is interested in? (Am I the only one who hates the current options?)
* Is there anywhere I can get help/testers willing to try it out? (Guessing here)

IDK if there are other people who have already created solutions for the problem with the Data0 adapter being so finicky. If there is please point me to a solution, so that I don't have to create one lol.

Obviously this is for the community and would be put up on GitHub for all to take. Want a way to give back to this awesome community.

Thank you!

Most people would switch to reball or kamikaze mod for data0 nowerdays

I never heard of the kamikaze mod till now. Seeing a quick video seem to be a bit more skill oriented compared to the adapter.

I might not go the route of reinventing the adapter then. Unless there is still a need for it.

My next idea was to simply create a simple flex cable this this:

Where the points are exposed so that anyone can just use a regular RP2040 to solder to it. Think this would make things a bit simpler. Also allowing you to solder the resistors to it instead of the RP2040.

I've always thought that the ultimate solution would be to make the black part out of insulating material, keeping the U-shape

Interesting, but makes it hard for ppl to make themselves. Trying to make it cheap and easy for ppl to get it made themselves through OSHPark or PCBWay.

My simple solution was to extend the left side so that it goes all the way back to the metal wall/shielding, and add another anchor on the capacitor on the right side. This would make it easier to hold in place while soldering.

My issue with the adapter is that it always moves when I am soldering the anchor points causing me to desolder it an try again. This is the one thing that takes up 50% of my time doing.

I received a switch with 18.0.0 so there is no point in installing pi2040, won't it work for me?
They have released LockPick for version 18.0.0. After starting hekate, you can make a copy of the emmc and pick up the keys with lockpick. via emmchacgen downgrade to 17.0.1 of the stock.
Not changing the number of efuses burned can be done. If you want less trouble in my opinion you can do the mod, wait a few days for the atmosphere update, create the emummc of 18.0.0 and do a downgrade with daybreak to 17.0.1 where you will find everything working.

I did some tests and asked myself a question. I have a lite switch with stock 17.0.1 and 17.0.1 emuemmc. I've updated the stock to 18.0.0. The result of course is OFW locked and emummc working at 17.0.1. If I start the payload lockpick_RCM and select "reboot OFW" why does it boot correctly? Shouldn't it give error? It looks like it bypasses the modchip. Can anyone explain?

Have you ever tried "reboot to OFW" option from Hekate REBOOT option?
When you attempt to boot up HOS, hekate launcher uses fss0 bootloader, and "Reboot-->reboot to OFW" uses NS default bootloader.
Similar idea "NO SDCARD" page and vol_combo to bypass to OFW

Booting OFW from the Hekate launch menu (aka "semi-stock") is not the same as rebooting to OFW.

AFAIK the former still patches some stuff (so it won't work with 18.0.0 yet) while the latter boots to 100% stock OFW (so it can boot as a non-modded console just fine, unless banned).

Sthetix recently did a very helpful video about this.

For those who cant wait and for some reason they got a switch on 18.0.0 if you search good enough there is an atmosphere version that works on 18.0.0. Just use that version, launch daybreak and downgrade to 17.0.1. The fuse count is the same so there will be no issues. The other way is using emmchacgen after you have got your prod.keys generated from the newer lockpick for version 18.0.0. For those who find difficult to use the 2nd method the 1st one is a better choice.

I just installed an HWFly Lite.. now I’m getting this led sequence while the switch boots to stock menu. Any idea what it means? I don’t know how to read the online error code legend… ☹️ The color looks like Blue (an attempted glitch?) and then yellow (or white?) sequence of three ==*.
